History
Established in March 2013, by Tim Oxborough. Oxborough Chartered Surveyors is situated in the center of the historic village of Cranleigh. Originally conceived as a rural practice, the firm has expanded to cover multiple disciplines and is now very much a general practice firm working within the residential and commercial sectors as well as within the rural market.
From his beginnings as a sole trader, Tim now employs 6 people including a specialist property manager, building surveyor and planning specialist. We believe in working at all times with the utmost of integrity and for the best interests of our clients in all circumstances.
Our objective is to thrive as an approachable firm of local property specialists offering a professional and efficient service to all our clients in a way that promotes a personal and friendly working relationship.

Tim Oxborough MRICS
With over ten years’ experience in the property profession Tim Oxborough has been a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors since 2006. Surrey born and bred with strong family connections in the area, Tim has a diverse and comprehensive knowledge of Rural and Residential property matters with experience including undertaking valuations; property and estate management, repairs and renovations; negotiating compensation claims; landlord and tenant negotiations, and sales and acquisitions. Tim is well placed to advise clients on a wide range of property issues and in the past has acted for clients including home owners, farmers, traditional rural estates, limited companies, property investment companies and trusts.

Andrew Macvean MRICS
Andrew Macvean is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with 40 years’ experience as a building surveyor working in Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire covering buildings of varying styles, ages and construction including period properties. His work includes carrying out condition surveys for purchasers; design work for extensions, conversions and new buildings and obtaining the necessary local authority consents; administering building contracts; preparing schedules of condition and dilapidations, and party wall work. Andrew has worked for a cross section of clients and although most have been private individuals, he has acted for private companies, schools, churches and local authorities.
